About the program…
The ball is still in our court until year-end to take advantage of the $5 million gift and generation-skipping exemptions. Steve will discuss how we can evaluate which clients are candidates for making use of the temporary gift and generation-skipping exemptions, determine which wealth transfer strategies best apply to particular client profiles, and motivate clients to take action before year-end.Returning from Morocco, Steve will present a fresh perspective.
About the speaker…
Steve Gariepy is co-chair of Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP’s Estate Planning and Business Succession Group. In 2011, Steve became the first recipient of Best Lawyers in America’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Cleveland Trusts and Estates. In 2009, he received the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland’s Distinguished Estate Planner award. He has served as president of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and chair of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Estate Planning Institute. He is an OSBA Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, a software consultant for BNA Estate & Gift Tax Planner, and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, Florida and Arizona.
