Family and Wealth Sustainability: Integrating Family Values with Wealth Planning for Lasting Legacy
About the Program...
The paradigm "Shirtsleeves to Shirtsleeves in three generations" is often cited as a representation of the growth then subsequent dissipation of family wealth. But less often explained are the reasons behind this. This discussion explores the reasons behind this phenomenon and creative ways that successful families have overcome these problems. Based on many generations of working with family wealth transitions, BNY Mellon has gained insights into ways for attorneys, accountants and other advisors to assist clients. This presentation will explore these ideas and outline a process for working through these issues.
