About the program…
Matt will join us days after meetings in D.C. with the latest irreverent take on what Congress seems to have in store for us and our clients, including: estate tax reform (if, when, whether, how, why, etc.); capital gains and other “Bush tax cuts”; the various ongoing battles between the strata of wealthy (and everyone else); whether deficit reduction is for real; and a further “parade of horribles.” As a bonus, he has promised to bring a Magic 8-Ball for actual, real-time predictions.
Matthew F. Kadish, Esq. is an attorney and shareholder in the Cleveland law firm of Kadish, Hinkel & Weibel, a 2010 U.S. News and World Reports “Best Law Firm in America” (First Tier in tax law for the metropolitan Cleveland area, and Second Tier in tax law out of all law firms nationally).  Matt’s practice covers a wide range of tax-related areas, including choice of entities, estate planning and business succession, exempt organizations, and representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Tax Court.  He has spoken nationally on various tax-related topics, has testified at the invitation of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee on tax relief for small businesses, and serves as the Vice President of Legislation for the Small Business Council of America.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and is listed in Best Lawyers in America (Taxation) and as an Ohio Super Lawyer (Tax and Estate Planning).  Matt was honored to receive the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland’s 2010 Exceptional Service Award for his contributions to the Cleveland estate planning community in the tax, federal legislation and estate planning areas. He formerly served as an attorney-advisor to Judge Herbert L. Chabot of the U.S. Tax Court, and received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and his B.A. from Williams College.  Prior to practice in Cleveland, he practiced in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C.
