About the program…
There are many myths and mysteries around long-term care insurance. This presentation will focus on understanding the origin of Long Term Care Insurance and its evolution into its present day form. The discussion will address public and private funding for care services as well as the state and federal government's approach to dealing with this sleeping giant. Many states have implemented tax incentives to entice their citizens to purchase private insurance plans. Alternately, the federal government has recently signed into law H.R. 3590 Title VIII (The CLASS Act) to address the growing care needs. We will also explore the changing private insurance market and how insurers are adapting to a population that is living longer. This presentation will arm you with all the information that you need to know to help your clients understand this changing environment.
