About the Program
The recent robust activity in the M&A market involving closely held family businesses has spurred increased consideration of a sale as a transition option for owners. A surprise or enticing unsolicited offer has disrupted a number of solidified or latent transition plans. The presentation will highlight various personal and business aspects that the business owner and their advisors should consider in preparation for a potential sale to achieve the highest value in today’s M&A market. Knowing the questions and issues to address will help estate planning advisors guide their clients towards understanding whether an ultimate sale now or in the foreseeable future is one or the best option to pursue in achieving their transition goals.
