About the Program
As estate planners, we often need to develop cultural competence with respect to religions other than our own. The intersection of estate planning and religion occurs in many ways, both before and after death. This presentation will cover issues amongst a variety of religions relating to end-of-life decisions and testamentary imperatives, including the presenter’s particular expertise in preparing estate plans in accordance with Halachic (Torah) law. We will also discuss the practical information that estate planners need to know surrounding the death and burial practices of clients from varied cultures.
