About the Program
Sometimes due to lack of planning, sometimes in spite of very good planning, the transfer of family wealth does not go as anticipated.  A panel of experienced trusts and estates advisors will describe planning and administration situations they have encountered during their careers, how they were resolved, or how they could not be resolved.

About the Speakers
Deviani Kuhar is a partner and chair of the Business Succession Planning & Wealth Management Practice Group at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff.  Deviani focuses her practice on working with clients in reaching their personal estate planning goals and has implemented a wide range of sophisticated estate planning techniques, as well as advised on personal family concerns of high net worth individuals.  Deviani represents several wealthy families in dealing with multigenerational wealth transfer planning, including transfers of family businesses and establishing private family foundations.

Gary A. Zwick is a partner at Walter | Haverfield, with emphasis on tax planning for closely-held and family businesses and their owners, and high net worth individuals. His work encompasses not only income tax planning, but also estate planning, IRS and Tax Court controversy work, designing pension plans, and business and individual taxation.  Prior to law practice, Gary spent 21 years in public accounting, including serving for many years as director of tax operations and head of the tax department for a large regional CPA firm.

The moderator of the panel will be Scott E. Swartz, Counsel at Wellspring Financial Advisors, LLC.  Scott was in private practice for over twenty years before joining Wellspring, and advises client families on all matters of tax and estate planning.
