About the program...
Determining the appropriate level of care for aging family members, whether at home or in a facility, can be a complicated process. As estate planners, our clients often turn to us for help. Rachel will provide tips on how we can best assist our clients in the constantly changing relationship between financial, legal, and level of care issues.
Rachel A. Kabb-Effron, JD, is the owner of the Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio specializing in elder law. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the State of Ohio Supreme Court. She has been representing elderly and disabled clients since 1998, helping with care advocacy and public benefits eligibility planning involving Medicaid and the VA. She has been practicing life care planning since 2006. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a past-president and current board member of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association, and a past president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a member of the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.

Reservation Policy – All attendees are encouraged to register in advance and walk-in reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only. Meeting cost is $25 for members when paid in advance before noon 09/08/14, $40 for members at the door, $40 for guests, and $200 for a table of six guests (please submit names to admin@epccleveland.org by 09/08/14). If you reserve and are unable to attend, please call the office to cancel by noon 09/08/14 to avoid a no-show reservation billing.
Continuing Education – EPC Cleveland will request credit for this program from the CFP® Board of Standards for CFP® designation holders. In addition, a certificate of completion will be available for those CTFAs, CPAs, and CWS designees that feel the program satisfies their continuing education requirements.
